TRAINER'S PC

Pokémon card values and prices

To find out what a Pokémon card is worth, scan it with Trainer's PC or search for it. You get the market price for that exact printing and condition, updated every day, along with recent sales, graded values and a price history chart. Add it to your PC and it counts toward your collection's total value.

Where the prices come from

Prices come from real marketplace data, refreshed daily: TCGplayer market prices, recent sold listings (eBay and TCGplayer sales via PriceCharting) and Cardmarket for European prints. The app blends these carefully: a card that has listings but no sales is not given a made-up value, and a stale market price is overruled when recent sales clearly disagree.

Every price is for a specific printing (holo, reverse holo, 1st Edition, Unlimited…) and adjusts for condition, from Near Mint down to Damaged.

Graded card values

Graded cards are valued from graded sales for that grading company and grade (PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG and ACE), and for vintage cards, for that edition. When a grade has no recent sales, the app falls back step by step to the closest reliable value rather than showing nothing.

Price history and movers

Open any card to see its price chart. Your Trainer tab charts your whole collection's value over time and lists the cards that moved most this week and your most valuable cards. The free plan shows the last month of history; Trainer's PC Pro shows everything back to release.

Check a card's value in three steps

  1. Install Trainer's PC from the App Store and open the Scan tab.
  2. Point the camera at the card. The result shows the card, its release and its market price.
  3. Tap the card for price history, sales and graded values, or tap + to add it to your collection.

Questions

How often are Pokémon card prices updated?

Every day. Your collection value and the movers list update with them.

Are prices in US dollars?

Yes. Every card, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean and European prints, is priced in US dollars so your collection adds up to one total.

Why does my card show a different price than a listing I saw?

Listings are asking prices. Trainer's PC values cards from what they actually sell for, by printing and condition, so a single high listing does not change the value.
